I am a widow and a mom of boys..I can love and nurture my boys but I cannot teach them what it truly means to be a man because I am not a man. The same sex is VERY important and if not present there will be a void with different psychological problems than a missing opposite sex parent creates. The same sex parent helps you form your identity while the opposite sex parent teaches you how to be in relationship. Very good article!!
