Narcissists Believe Their Feelings Are Facts.

Narcissists have a distorted view of reality, and often will state facts based on their feelings. They do this because their brain processes their own reality based on their dysfunctional inner dialogue.

If you have had experience with a narcissist, you’ve no doubt been involved in many exhausting arguments with them. These disturbing engagements often go into an endless circle of craziness because the narcissist has wrong information, yet still believes they are correct. If you try to correct their erroneous belief they feel slighted and develop a narcissistic injury which leads straight into a narcissistic rage.

Narcissists perceive their feelings as facts. If they have a strong emotion about someone or something they absolutely believe they are correct. This is a very serious distortion in perception and usually ends up coloring most of how the narcissist sees things.

Feelings are not facts. This is why it is never wise to make big decisions when you are really emotional. You may not be thinking clearly or be able to see the bigger picture until you get back into your body and are calm.
