The Narcissist is a Pathetic Human Being
Webster defines pathetic as “pitifully inferior or inadequate” Another definition is, “causing or evoking pity, sympathetic sadness, sorrow”, etc
If you have been around narcissists for any length of time you know how much they LOVE talking about all the people in their life that have “screwed” them over. All the jobs they lost because their boss was a “tyrant” expecting them to actually show up to work on time. Or all the times they had been rejected by “lame” and “stupid” people that couldn’t deal with their “brutally honest” “truth-telling” nature.
They revel in spinning their tall tales of woe. All they need is to just “catch a break” for once! It goes something like this:
“It wasn’t my fault I got evicted from my apartment. It was my girlfriend's fault! That “crazy woman” stresses me out so much that when I actually get to work I fight with the guys on the job site. My boss was out to get me so he fired me and blamed me for an account the company lost due to my aggressive know-it-all unprofessionalism. Can you believe that? My asshole boss doesn’t understand that the only reason I come to work so pissed off all the time is because of my girlfriend. She never has my work clothes ready for me in the morning and she has the audacity to tell me to keep track of my own shirts and to stop screaming at her. She is to blame…
